On August 13, 2021, Mr. Matthew Lee Smith passed away at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. He was a resident of Bogalusa, LA. He enjoyed shooting pool, loved his family, was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, and a “beast” at Phase 10. However, it was the love for God and his family he enjoyed the most. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Smith; a sister: Melissa (Baron) Desmond; four nephews: Erik Smith, Michael R. Smith, Mark Desmond, and Seth Desmond; three nieces: Whitney Smith, Alissa Desmond, and Cassidy Desmond; one great-niece: Allysse Smith; and two sister-in-laws: Sheila Smith and Carol Smith. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father, Larry Smith, and two brothers, Michael Larry Smith and Marcus Lamar Smith.
