Excie H. Parker born August 17, 1922 went home to his Lord April 29, 2012 at the age of 89. He worked 44 years at South Central Bell before retiring Excie was born in the Isabel community and was a long time resident of Bogalusa. He served his country in the Army Infantry in the 254th Signal Corp Division during WWII. He was a life long member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Mavis D. Parker, two sons Horace(Loretta) Parker of Lafayette, Keith(Lynette)Parker of Bogalusa, one daughter Amelia(Wayne) LeBlue, a Grandson Christopher(Gwen)Parker and a Granddaughter Dawn(Wes)Conroy and two Great-Grandchildren Reagen (Lauren)and Kristian Jarrell, and a Great Great-Grandson Kayden Garcia, one Brother-in-Law Cecil Ball and one Sister-in-Law Elrene Duncan and a great many of Nieces and Nephews and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Elliot and Nola Parker, a brother Johnny M. Parker and a sister Claudine P. Thigpen. The family wants to extend special thanks to Camellia Hospice , they are special people to all the friends for all their prayers and kindness shown to the family. Visitation will be Wednesday May 3, 2012 at Brown -McGehee Funeral Home Starting at 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and again after 8:00 A.M Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the Brown- McGehee Chapel Thursday May 4, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. James Hollingsworth and Rev. David Steele officiating the services.
