Mrs. Edna LaBorde

April 11, 1948 - November 16, 2021

Edna Louise LaBorde, 73, was born on April 11, 1948, in Poplarville, Mississippi, and was a childhood resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana, passed away in her home in Bush, Louisiana, on November 16, 2021. She was a homemaker for the majority of her adult life and later worked at Winn-Dixie in Ponchatoula as a seafood manager. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 25 years, Steven Joseph LaBorde, Sr.; her parents: Hulon Letroy Jenkins and Ammie Louise Davis; her stepfather: Jacob “Jake”Joseph Drivon, Sr.; and her brothers: Hulon Travis Jenkins and William Leander Jenkins. She is survived by her two children: Michelle LaBorde Adams (Joseph Adams) and Steven J. LaBorde, Jr. (Deborah Pugh); five grandchildren: Brian J. Landry Jr., Jennifer Landry (Chad Parker), Patrick LaBorde, Parker Laborde, and Peyton LaBorde; and two great-grandchildren: Isabella M. Parker and Luke R. Parker. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. James T. Leonard, III, and a brother, Mr. Daniel L. Jenkins, in addition to a host of family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Maury Drummond for the many years of medical care he provided to Edna, as well as Passages Hospice for the for the excellent care and support they provided for her.
